Written by Francis Monty in 2001, “Léon le nul” is a powerful play that depicts the life of a young boy. At school, he is the target of his classmates’ bullying. At home, he struggles to find his place between his nervous and impatient mother and his brother Éthienne, a successful chocolate seller who is wealthy and self-assured. In an attempt to cope, Léon wants to become a train, tough and powerful. So he eats nails and waits for his birthdays to turn his legs into wheels.
