Cocktail dinner

This event is open to the public.

Please note that access to this activity is included with your Congress ticket.

After a day filled with discussions and ideas for our Francophone communities, the AFMO Congress invites you to extend the evening in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

To conclude our networking evening, we’ll be treated to music by Yves Doyon, a Franco-Ontarian singer-songwriter who has been performing for over 30 years. Many discovered him in the 1990s as the singer and guitarist of the band En Bref, a Northern Ontario group that made its mark on the Francophone music scene with iconic songs, including “Ici dans l’nord” (Here in the North), a true anthem to our Franco-Ontarian identity.

For this special occasion, Yves will be joined by his longtime collaborator Shawn Sasyniuk, a professional drummer who has played with renowned artists such as Roch Voisine, Breen LeBoeuf, Wilfred LeBouthillier, Renée Martel, and Susan Aglukark.

In an acoustic duo format, they will revisit the En Bref repertoire and a few musical surprises in a blend of groove, road stories, and humor.

With nearly 800 shows together, one thing is certain: the energy will be palpable.

A wonderful opportunity to connect in a different way, celebrate our Francophonie, and end the evening in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
