Eleven artists from the BRAVO-Nord collective interpret the words of Franco-Ontarian poets in paint, fibre art or collage. IMAGES & MOTS is a contemplative exhibition set against the backdrop of Franco-Ontarian poetic voices. Images and words echoing each another, colours flowing onto a mossy verse, clinging to the lichen of a haiku or mingling with the roots of a song. An inspiring alliance of literary and visual artistry.

Opening Reception: Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 4:30 p.m.

This series of exhibitions is presented in collaboration with the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario.

BRAVO-Nord

When the North tires of being told it’s a faraway place, BRAVO-Nord invites its artists to overcome distances. The collective includes members from all across the region, from Lake Temiskaming to Hearst, who do their creative work in smaller communities far from large urban centres. BRAVO-Nord takes on projects that foster engagement and exchanges between artists and audiences.
