Pet Mayor : Annual Fundraiser for Panache Bookstore

Do you share your daily life with a furry, feathered or scaly animal who likes to read alongside you? Perhaps they are destined to become the first Pet Mayor of Panache bookstore!

How does it work?

First, we invite people who wish to submit the application for their animal(s) to complete the form by following the link at the bottom of this page. As this is a fundraising campaign, a fee of $25 is required per animal. You can submit the application for several animals, as long as the fees are paid for each one. You have until May 17th, 11:55 PM to submit your pet’s application.

Secondly, we will share all the beautiful photos and applications online and in store. A popular vote will crown our official representative for the next year. The identity of our Pet Mayor will be revealed in June 2024.

Pet Mayor: What do they do?

• The Pet Mayor embodies the love of reading and of books. They represent the bookstore in its online communications and, if possible and safe for the animal and the public, in person at official events
• Their family regularly sends us update on their daily life: favorite readings, seasonal activities, photos in action that we share on our social networks
• Their regal portrait is proudly displayed in the bookstore, and even on promotional items!

Since its opening, Panache bookstore has offered story times for kids, book clubs featuring books chosen by members of the Sudbury community, book swap sessions which allow citizens to acquire new books for free, game nights, open mics and author meetings. Your donations will allow us to continue our mission: spreading the joy of reading in French!
