Open and natural, like an unexpected balm on life’s scrapes and scratches, Reney Ray comes to us from a village called Val-Rita in Northern Ontario. She’s a multi-instrumentalist and a singer-songwriter whose way with words is frank, yet sensitive. She delivers country-infused pop-folk with a sincerity that sometimes soothes, sometimes hits hard and never fails to win you over. Voted Francophone Songwriter of the Year at the 2022 Canadian Folk Music Awards, Reney Ray writes and sings with genuine emotion and always wears her heart on her sleeve.

The way he makes a song makes you want to listen to what it’s saying. His lyrics deliver honest reflections, while his music is anchored in a solid country-rock vein. He presents himself as a newcomer to songwriting, but it’s an art he’s practiced since his youth, and now wields with maturity.
