Sudbury’s Place des Arts has been running a deficit since it opened its doors two years ago, but director Denis Bertrand says things are looking up. He joined us in studio to talk about how things are going and to share the latest plan to make the venue profitable.

Sudbury’s Place des Arts is still in the red, but its finances are improving
“We’ve made a $600,000 turnaround,” said Bertrand. “We’ve had a substantial increase in the number of organizations that rent our spaces.”

Une meilleure situation financière pour la Place des Arts
La Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury a réduit son déficit d’exploitation de 600 000 $ au cours de la dernière année. C’est ce que les membres de l’organisme ont pu constater samedi dernier lors de l’assemblée générale annuelle de l’organisme, qui portait sur l’exercice financier qui se terminait à la fin mars 2024.
