We gain an appreciation for our environment, capable of offering such beautiful presences. We share the thrill of a brand-new performance. We experience a moment of beautiful guidance that wants to do good, just by forging a link.

It’s in this spirit that La Slague invites you to “Au bistro des découvertes“. This intimate concert series is carefully curated, with new talent personally recommended by seasoned French Ontario artists. Our old hands on the music scene are well placed to make good musical acquaintances, and like us, the stars love to share their finds with their friends. So be one of their friends!

Au Bistro des Découvertes, you’ll come for the good atmosphere, the good food, the good music, the good company, all under the guidance of the evening’s artist godparents, to create an intimate and convivial evening with their protégés.

Her unique voice delivers dreamy melodies, carried by shimmering arrangements that skilfully marry many musical genres. She confidently invites you to follow her in her musical creation, made of authenticity and sensitivity.

Sarah Burton
Based in Texas and originally from Toronto, Burton began her career with a broken heart, a broken-down van nicknamed Lucky and a messy trans-Canada tour. Since then, she has racked up hundreds of North American shows, five albums, and notorious showcases including CMW and SXSW.

In 2022, she released I Hate Goodbyes, the first single from her new album, 64 Magic Queens, which reflects the hope felt during a long-distance love affair. Recorded in Sudbury, the album is produced by power-pop-rocker Dany Laj, and also features the melodic bass lines of her faithful partner Jeannette Dowling.
