Nouveaux contes sudburois

Urban tales inspired by Sudbury, performed by the authors

“Urban tales” are a favourite Sudbury genre. They are short stories meant to be both heard and read, in which local themes and imagery play a key role. A first collection of Contes sudburois published twenty years ago was a memorable literary event. Today’s five new tales were written in 2019 and presented live on stage as a celebration of the imminent appearance of Place des Arts in Sudbury’s cultural landscape. Three years (and one pandemic) later, the building stands, the book is out and the authors are back for a repeat performance.
