Île-aux-Chênes (Oak Island, a.k.a. Hardwood Island), on Lake Nipissing near Lavigne, was not only a nature-based summer camp for Francophone youth from across Ontario, but also a vibrant hub for arts and culture experiences, personal growth and community spirit.
